Fan of the Match: Sarah Woody “Christmas in July”

“No one is worthy!” Director of Marketing Danielle Dorantich shouted to a press box full of stunned Hammerheads employees before Saturday’s match.  “If the fans think that a tacky holiday tie or cheap Santa hat will win them Fan of the Game, they’ve got another thing coming!” As Dorantich slumped into a chair dejected and in need of a stiff drink, the other staff members in the room vowed to find a worthy candidate that would live up to such lofty standards.

It was the ensuing search that led to the discovery of Sarah Woody.  A true Christmas miracle whose green elf hat and snowman covered set of scrubs restored Dorantich’s faith in Hammerheads fans once more.

While Woody isn’t busy winning prestigious awards from the Hammerheads, she can be found at the Port City Animal Hospital  saving the lives of your beloved pets.  As a small animal technician, Woody has experienced many joyous reunions between owners and the pets she has saved, but the moment she found out she won Fan of the Match will be etched in her memory forever.   Woody mentioned that the best Christmas present that she has ever received was a massive Appaloosa horse back in 2006, but surly the pat on the back she got for being Fan of the Match was a close second.

Woody felt, “Honored” for being recognized as the best dressed at Legion Stadium Saturday, but she’s not letting the victory get to her head.  Remaining confident, but not cocky is the only way for Woody to repeat as Fan of the Match, but she’s definitely up to the task.  Woody and her friends have been rewarded with tickets by Hammerheads staff members in the past for their creative Beach and Hollywood themed outfits.  We challenge the rest of you to dress to impress at “80’s Night” this Thursday at Legion Stadium.
